Born in the picturesque landscape of South Africa, Veruschka began her career as a journalist for one of the largest global media houses, Independent Newspapers. She specialized in entertainment journalism and her career highlights included exclusive interviews with the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Bryan Adams, Russell Peters, the Kardashian family, lead actors of Mission Impossible 3, etc. She is also no stranger to contentious issues and has written on crime, politics, human interest and community stories. In 2013, she went on to launch her own communications agency, Paradigm Marketing and won accounts with Fortune 500 corporations such as The Walt Disney Company. She was instrumental in launching a local Disney channel that now (two years after its launch) boasts more than 1.5 million daily viewers. She took a leap of faith in 2018 when she emigrated to Canada without a job or a knowing a single soul in the country and has since built a great professional network and has worked with the likes of TIFF, wrote for various publications including the New-York based The Juggernaut, real estate blogs, and was the senior editor for The Edge: A Leader’s Magazine, a business and technology publication. Now she is the Chief Editor for a law group and a start-up digital magazine, Immigrants Life that portrays the journey of everyday Canadian immigrants. She has two degrees in Marketing Management and Communications Science from one of the top 500 universities in the world.

Interesting fact: She has travelled to more than 11 countries and 25 cities and is a fourth-generation South African of South Asian ancestry living in Canada with a Russian-German name. In her spare time, she enjoys creating new experimental cuisine and helping start-up achieve growth and their fullest potential. Her favourite foods are anything vegetarian in middle eastern cuisine and an authentic South African bunny chow.
